Calypso, in Greek mythology, was a nymph and daughter of Oceanus. Calypso lived on an island, where she detained Homer's Odysseus for seven years and promised him immortality. This 18k gold ring was inspired by the story of Calypso, in particular the island lifestyle and human longing for immortality.
